1. What do I do if I need
help? What support is available?
The Common CV has three levels of online help.
Help and Section Help buttons in the top bar provide general and section
specific help text. Help to determine what is required within a specific
field is found by clicking on the
in front of the field. Go to the Help
page.
If you have questions regarding the Common CV system, contact the help
desk of the agency to which you are applying. Support is available between
8 am and 5 pm (EST) five days a week.

- For Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research, technical questions contact the

2. When can
I expect maintenance and upgrades to the system?
Maintenance and upgrades are scheduled to take
place Monday to Friday between midnight and 2 a.m. Normally, the system
will remain available during those times. Any planned outages will be
posted in the messages section of the Home - My CV page.
